1. Handles regular and irregular operational staff administration action affecting contractual status, achieving results such as: • Monitoring and follow-up on contract expiration dates to ensure timely action• Processes regular separation case, including follow-up and correspondence with staff member, Managers and approving authorities• Administrates re-assignments, promotions and transfers. • Designs efficient methods to track administrative processes and exceptions adequately balancing timeliness and quality delivery• Assistance in briefing regional and country offices on policy issues governing the various HR transactions.• Guides and advises Administrative Officers, HR Focal Points and other parties involved in HR actions on HR solutions offered by the global management system (GSM) and monitors its effective use, in order to ensure accurate initiation of HR actions and quality data.• Interprets rules and regulations and draws accurate inferences.2. Responds to performance management issues, and follows up on probationary period with managers and new staff and advises on the performance process and cycle.3. Answers queries related to performance management and escalates complex cases to the Team Leader 4. - HR focal person in Polio for national contracts (SSAs, offline APWs and UNOPs).
