I am a friendly and outgoing person with a passion for Building Insurance and Risk Management. Although I am an excellent team player, the national lock-down has forced many institutions to work from home and I can proudly say that I have managed my time effectively, maintained a high standard of service and supported my team remotely.I am currently employed by Haringey Council as an insurance officer within the Audit and Risk Management department since 2005. I manage the property asset register and claims handling for the Local Authority. Currently, I am dealing with housing public liability claims. I also have experience with tree root claims, subsidence, and Employer’s Liability claims.As part of claim handling, I also carry out property inspections with surveyors and loss adjusters. Throughout my 15 years of employment, I have received hands-on training on finance and budgeting (year-end | month end), JCAD Lachs Software, SAP, fraud and claims handling training with other Local Authorities, Safeguarding and Health & Safety. I am also responsible to create and update response templates and contents for the department.Being part of the ILC, Haringey Council is connected with various insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and insurance brokers, with whom I liaise daily. These include Marsh, Zurich Municipal, Davies Group Ltd, Claims Consortium, Phoenix Liability, Plexus Law, Browne Jacobson, DWF, AON, Royal and Sun Alliance, Keoghs and AXA. I am planning to complete the CII qualification to help further my ambition and career in the Insurance and risk management field.
