FWO Fellow working within the MARVEL consortium. I am focusing on the calibration, noise mitigation, and science exploitation of the instrument array. MARVEL aims to characterize the plethora of beautifully diverse exo-world architectures, and set the foundation for future space missions PLATO and ARIEL.

• Developed curricula with creative approaches to learning and provided individualized academic support for middle school level mathematics and science courses, high school level mathematics, and an art elective course.• Served as a middle school advisor to a small cohort of students, managing communication between parents, students, and the school.

• Taught 320 students at Lyamkena Secondary School, boosting the physics national examination student pass rate by 29% after one year.• Acquired $2,500 of grant funding and 1,237 books to start and build a library collection at the school aimed at improving performance in STEM.• Co-facilitated programs in gender health, HIV/AIDS, and gender equality.• Facilitated extracurricular programs weekly with students and children from the surrounding community using Swahili.

• Performed educational planetarium shows for technical and non-technical audiences, special events and science outreach functions.• Trained future operators on operating Uniview 360° projection software.• Functioned as a museum docent when needed, assisting in gift shop operations, leading science demonstrations, and participating in science outreach events.

• Contributed to the data reduction pipeline for a survey done on exoplanet atmospheres using data obtained by the Magellan telescopes in Chile. • Tested different methods to account for and remove noise in the transmission spectra using Python. Deduced which factors provide the best fit of the data, to learn more about the chemical composition of their atmospheres.• Contributed work and findings on a published paper in collaboration with Dr. Erin May's research group

• Successfully assembled, tested, wired and programmed 38 circuit boards to adjust lasers for the MIRC-X update to the CHARA array in California.• Designed and 3D printed proto type enclosures for the circuit boards through SolidWorks AutoCAD software.• Contributed work and findings on a published paper in collaboration with Professor Monnier's research group
