Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre is a free service to help those seeking legal advice. I took part in the LAC as a student advisor. Under this role I:built a rapport and interviewed clients, I took down attendance notes, used the law management system 'Clio',researched the area of law that people needed advice on and created and sent off advice letters to clients.

I founded a society that strives to break down the glass ceiling that is placed upon women of colour. My friends and I created a safe space for women to grow and prosper throughout their university experience.

In this role I was a CNS Volunteer in Citizens Advice in this position I provide legal advice to clients. I underwent their training on interview skills, how to find information to resolve clients’ issues, and navigate their casebook to upload client cases.

During my time at CopperStone I was able to have a hands on experience within a law firm that help those who are in need. CopperStone mainly works in family law and those who are entitled to legal aid and people who are referred from Women's aid. They helped me build my confidence within a firm. I took on various jobs including client care letters, draft orders and phone calls, drafting witness statements and attendance notes, as well as preparing bundles and summarising orders and the cases within the firm. I also became comfortable with the software of 'Lawsyst' for case management.
