• Handle all Benefit Administration requests and is the subject matter expert for all benefits related inquiries• Prepare and submit benefits transaction instructions and HRIS employee information changes within required deadlines.• First point of contact for all HR related inquiries coming from various business lines within Scotiabank, responding to them by utilizing expert knowledge, ability to navigate, access and obtain information from the resources and tools provided.• Confidentially guide staff and management through a process of developing answers, solutions and/or strategies to deal fairly, legally and effectively with first level employee related matters• Ensuring all email inquiries are responded in a timely manner within established service level agreement by providing clear, concise responses• Responsible to act as a liaison with various departments(Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Global Employment Strategy, Corporate HR) Payroll Units, and HR Administration departments. • Able to navigate, access and obtain information from all systems quickly and efficiently – BITS, HR Passport, Intralink, Horizon, Absence E-trac/Payroll Learning Centre, Flex benefits systems, RIS and working knowledge of SAP Payroll system, Group net website.• Support in growth and development of HR through effective trending mechanisms.• Interact with staffing agencies for background screening process for new hires.

• Responsible for Full cycle recruitment - postings, sourcing, screening resumes, interviews, preparing offer letters and reference checks• Reviewed and processed adjustments for all staff including Manager and or Supervisor changes, account code changes and data adjustments• Responsible for the input of terminations, severance packages where applicable; up to and including salary changes, benefits adjustments and leaves of absence• Processed and input all new hires including promotions and ad hoc equity adjustments• Assisted the HR Manager and Store Manager with annual compensation analysis.• Coordinated and researched training, facilitate on-boarding, orientation, developed individual plans and career paths• Evaluated the current performance review process and assist managers during the annual process
