I started my undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo in the Nanotechnology program, graduating in 2018. I then started my Masters degree in Chemical Engineering (Nanotechnology) in the fall of 2018, from where I directly transferred into a PhD degree in the same program before completing the Masters degree.I am passionate about improving the energy storage media in a sustainable and inexpensive way. Currently, I am working on the development of a new generation of solid-state lithium ion batteries that utilize inexpensive materials and scalable processes. I have also previously worked on lithium-sulfur batteries during my coop experience which resulted in a published paper. In addition to my graduate research work, I am also a co-founder and committee member of the University of Waterloo Electrochemical Society Student Chapter (WatECS) where we plan events with the goal of connecting electrochemical researchers together as well as sharing knowledge in the field.Outside of academics, I'm very interested in photography, digital designs (websites, logos, etc), 3D modelling, and basic coding. Although I consider myself as an amateur in these fields, my interest pushes me towards self-learning more through online courses and trial and error!
