When the project started, there were balances that were aged back to 2010 ($19MM, 39M PO lines)o Worked closely with management to determine best approach to clean up each category of open item. Made recommendations based on age and type of open item.o Coordinated between management and two contractors on the teamo Provided extensive reporting to track weekly and monthly progress requiring Excel pivot tableso Made recommendation on how company could improve P2P procedures to avoid aging of the GR/IR in the future.o At the end of the project, GR/IR brought current-through 2016 " Led project to move an account that was being managed in a spreadsheet to be an open-item managed account to utilize SAP functionality. This included writing up the proposal for management review, working with IT to establish requirements, testing, and implementation. Through my efforts, this account was analyzed. cleaned up and went from over 12,000 line items to under 500. Made recommendations for proper handling of these transactions and prepared procedures for management of the process going forward.

GEORGIA-PACIFIC, LLC, Atlanta, GA Manager, Procurement Operations AP (2012 – 2016)Group formed to merge AP expertise into the procurement organization to improve on-time payment and discount capture through P2P process improvement. Managed a group of 5 individuals that provided analysis, training, and assistance to the Building Products Division. Personally provided support and assistance to businesses utilizing SAP AP processes.• Led project to change the company’s method of calculating the AP due date. Resulting in ongoing AP discount capture of $1MM per year.• Organized and implemented previously underutilized process in SAP that resulted in AP discount capture for commodities which had been unable to capture the payment discount. Resulted in 98% sustainable discount capture.• Coordinated the merging of a newly purchased companies into the established GP systems and P2P processes.

This group was formed as the result of the company decision to outsource Accounts Payable to an outside company located in Asia. As part of a larger team, worked with outsourcing company to define and test business requirements, train company’s personnel while developing standard operating procedures and overseeing company’s work after implementation. Team developed and executed onsite training for GP mill personnel as part of project implementation• Developed and implemented plan to implement new AP process for HQ departments/ required identifying departments, analyzing their current AP processes and converting them to the newly established process. Included developing and delivering training to dozens of department personnel. After implementation, managed 2-person team that provided support to business and coordination with the outsource company.• Developed reporting to be utilized to analyze AP statistics and results. Included new reports in the new integrated system as well as identifying existing reports in SAP that could be utilized for this purpose and providing business requirements and testing for any enhancements.• Provided governance over outsource company and served as liaison between GP and outsource company. Included troubleshooting and ensuring that outsource company followed established procedures and contracted SLA (service level agreements).

Moved from SAP IT to Accounting to manage the Consumer Products freight processing team (six individuals) and freight accounting process. Guided the reorganization and workforce reduction for this department, including improving the roles and responsibility of the two senior accounting positions by consolidating all freight work from other groups to ours.• Instituted numerous process improvements to enable improved efficiencies and better reporting.• Managed the outsourcing of this complex freight process to outsource company. Included coordinating the documentation of all processes, developing and delivering training to outsource company personnel.

As part of the SAP support team, handled routine and complex SAP configuration for GL, AP and AR. Developed numerous customized reports, still in use by the business today by gathering requirements, working with development team, testing, implementing and creating and delivering training the business. A key accomplishment in this role included developing the freight process as part of a major project to merge a recent acquisition into the GP SAP system. Gathered the requirements from the newly acquired business for Consumer Products freight, utilizing new SAP functionality. Developed and delivered training and provided support and enhancements to the process.
