Anew Support Services is a charity that provides practical and emotional support to pregnant women and new mothers, experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Through our Nurture and Empowerment Programmes we support the women through their pregnancy, early parenthood and to find homes. We provide this specialised and intensive support at a crucial time in their lives. This has long term impacts for the lives of these families and is certainly instrumental in breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty and inequality. In our Cottage in Swords, we provide intensive key working in areas such as emotional and mental wellbeing, physical health, looking after baby, relationships, housing and essentials and support network. In our Day Centre in Dublin City we offer a Housing Advice and Support Service, ante-natal support, peer to peer support, Life Skills classes such as budgeting, tenancy sustainment, and parenting support. We also provided outreach support to the women in other services and emergency accommodation. As a collaborative leader, I work with the board, staff, volunteers, funders and the women who use our service. My role connects all elements of the organisation into a cohesive, compliant and effective service for the women and babies who need it. Service delivery is high standard and outcome focused. Good governance is a priority and encompasses a clear strategic direction, well managed risk and HR, finance and compliance systems.
