Working for 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Mariana Antunes has been performing strategic functions in Access and Medical area, Corporate Communications, Social Responsibility departments and also in the field team. In Access and Medical area for 7 years, she provided an holistic strategic view in order to create plans which aimed to improve health system and access to healthcare for patients in collaboration with all company areas (access, health policy, medical, marketing, clinical research, compliance, etc).Her professional career is composed by diverse background and experience that reinforce her ability to deal with changes, uncertain scenarios and quickly learn new models. She also has strong communication and teamwork skills, openness to constant dialogue, empathy, collaboration, commitment to the company's purpose and concrete deliveries. Looking at her whole of career, she was able to move between different areas which formed her knowledge and, at the same time, reinforced the need to integrate a multidisciplinary vision in order to have great results. She originally comes from the Communication area, with a degree in Radio and TV in 2007, and later Journalism in 2010, which opened doors for her to work in Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility at Sanofi, where she started her experience in the pharmaceutical industry. In order to improve her understanding of the business, she decided to postgraduate at Insper in marketing management in 2014.She worked in Patient Advocacy at Roche for 7 years, a period in which she learned and contributed with information about the oncology patient's journey. Because it is an extremely transversal area and it is extremely important to deeply understand about health systems, scientific topics and the whole business strategy, she has contributed in the co-creation of solutions on several initiatives. In 2020, she took an Access to Medicines course in the Public and Private Systems at INAFF in order to reinforce and deepen the understanding of health paths. In 2021, she worked on field team as Patient Journey Manager for neurology area.She is currently Sr. Patient Advocacy Manager at Teva responsible for company's strategy with patient organizations engagement from rare diseases, migraine and mental health areas.
