I work as elderly caregiver at Attendo, a human care company in Sweden, where I assist elderly residents with their daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. I have been working in this role since August 2023, as a way to learn more about the Swedish language and society, while applying my communication and problem solving skills. I am also a qualified veterinary nurse, with a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine and a postgraduate degree in environmental management from Brazil.Before joining Attendo, I worked as a veterinary nurse at AniCura, a leading provider of veterinary care in Europe, for more than two years. There, I performed various tasks, such as administering vaccines, checking and healing wounds, conducting oral exams, administering medications, performing sedations, taking X-rays, collecting blood, and running blood tests in the laboratory. I also communicated effectively with pet owners, colleagues, and veterinarians, in English and Swedish. I ensured that the animals were comfortable and well cared for. I demonstrated my attention to detail, professionalism, and empathy, as well as my negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills. I enjoyed working with a diverse, international, and collaborative team, and learned a lot from experienced and friendly professionals.I am passionate about animal care and well-being, and interested in environmental sustainability.
