Working on the project: “Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biosynthesis from fruit waste at pilot scale: productivity maximisation and polymer tailoring” oriented by Dr. Gilda Carvalho and Prof. Maria Ascensão Reis in the Biochemical Engineering Group (BIOENG) at NOVA SCHOOL OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, NOVA University Lisbon.

Working on the FP7 European project: “EuroPHA - Novel technology to boost the European Bioeconomy: reducing the production costs of PHA biopolymer and expanding its applications as 100% compostable food packaging bioplastic” (EuroPHA FP7-SME-2013-604770).

- Assist in implementation of strategic projects to improve energy efficiency - Assist in planning and implementation of strategic projects to improve production performances (OEE, Manufacturing Excellence...) - Increase of production level about 6% in few months by performance management implementation in Bicar Sector.- Spend time at the plant performing trials, following cleaning/maintenance works and getting feedback from workers/production supervisors to see if there are problems or any suggestions regarding the process/working conditions.- Prepare reports, graphs and diagrams (e.g. synoptic diagrams).

Integrated into the Biochemical Engineering group to develop the project “EFFICIENT SUCCINIC ACID PRODUCTION FROM GLYCEROL BY ACTINOBACILLUS SUCCINOGENES USING DIMETHYL SULFOXIDE AS ELECTRON ACCEPTOR”

Integrated into the R&D group to develop the project "MOLECULAR MOBILITY STUDIES AND PHASE TRANSITIONS IN PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDS"
