- Project Planning & Execution: Worked on dozens of new projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system, in which I worked from Data Architecture Design to Master Data Management. Lead and actively worked in the development of our current semi-automated scheduling system, which increased efficiency by over 100% and allowed us to reduce headcount by 50%. All planning processes now have detailed work instructions, and the team is fully cross-trained, reducing potential downtime/delays.- Analysis & Reporting: Being extremely data driven, I have built a number of reports to mine the data available for valuable information from our operations. Joined the Structural Assets Group shortly after finishing at the University of Toronto to gain observational experience from operating units specializing in areas of Failure Analysis and Loss prevention. Worked with a team of Civil, Mechanical, Chemical and Materials engineers in order to provide the most complete and accurate information to our clients.• Analysis & Reporting: Responsible for technical reports in corrosion, failure analysis and material selection for Australasia and Middle East. I would research and report my findings to the office in Mississauga, Ontario.• Failure Investigation: Worked in a project of an Aluminium refinery in which the acid tanks were corroding in a much faster rate than calculated. After evaluating the areas of corrosion I proposed to further analyse the filler used during the welding process, discovering that it had the wrong composition (leading to galvanic corrosion). The findings saved the company millions in lawsuits.• Research: Worked with Matt King in the material selection for Sulphuric Acid Tanks for an aluminium smelter in Perth. Showcased all options, including coatings, with pros and cons, pointing out the best one in terms of both price and estimated durability.• Legal advice: Worked in a case of Microbial corrosion, demonstrating where the failure occurred, providing information for the client to avoid future problems. • Analysis & Reporting: Created 3D designs of Aluminium structural parts, performed FEA in SolidWorks, confirming the results with mechanical testing, performed at UofT. Upheld the duties of a Continuous Improvement Inspector for internal processes, as well as a R&D Engineer within the Product Application Engineering Unit, and with occasional site inspections for Corrosion Investigation.
