The University of Aveiro Pedagogical Board is the pedagogical management entity of the University of Aveiro. Some of its obligations are the pronouncement on the pedagogical guidelines and teaching and evaluation methodologies. I was a substitute between march of 2018 and september of 2018 and became one of the student's representative in september of 2019, ending up debating and deciding new teaching and evaluation stretegies to face COVID's limitations with the other members in 2020.

The Biochemistry Course Board is constituted by the course's director and vice-director and three class representatives. The role of this commission is to guarantee the continuous improvement of the course and its curricular units, anticipating and solving any question that may be raised either by students, teachers or entities linked to quality assurance in the higher education system.

The Chemistry Students Union (NEQ-AAUAv) represents more than 700 Students from the Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biotechnology courses, and develops pedagogical, social and sports activities. Throughout 2019 I had the pleasure of taking on the position of Coordinator of NEQ-AAUAv and with a team of 13 other people we developed several activities that allowed the personal and professional growth of the students. Additionally, I also had the opportunity to contact with several institutions of the University of Aveiro, with companies of the region of Aveiro and with the other Nuclei and Student Associations. This year of work allowed me to grow essentially in terms of my leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Throughout 2018 I became a vowel of the Pedagogy and Entrepreneurship sector at NEQ-AAUAv. This experience allowed me to contact research groups from the various Organic Units of the University of Aveiro, as well as professors not only from areas related to NEQ-AAUAv but also from other not so conventional ones and with companies of the Aveiro region, with the aim of to provide students with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The work carried out throughout this year allowed me to grow as a teammate and gave me a new vision about organizing events.

Upon arriving at the University of Aveiro, in 2016, I was extremely well received by NEQ-AAUAv. Thus, in 2017 I decided to become a collaborator in order to assist in the most diverse activities that were being prepared, as well as to encourage students to participate in them. During this year, the interest in helping others grew and I was able to explore the organization of events in this context.

The National Meeting of Biochemistry Students (Encontro Nacional de Estudantes de Bioquímica, ENEBIOQ) is a social, dynamic and pedagogical event that brings together hundreds of biochemistry students from all over the country. The XII ENEBIOQ took place between the 12th and 15th of april at Aveiro. The preparation of this event began in 2018 with the constitution of the Organizing Committee, and I was part of the Logistics Sector where, together with a team of 5 more people, I managed the registration of participants, the sale of merchandising, the acquisition of all products needed to carry out the most diverse activities, among other logistical activities.

In this Summer Internship I performed several tasks related to the quality control processes of the products developed by Lactogal - Produtos Alimentares S.A., with greater incidence in the physical-chemical area.
