The Social Community Enterpreneurship Programm (PESC) Tourism Resplendor aimed to foster ecotourism and rural tourismo in the town of Resplendor in Minas Gerais. 06 new business were incubated and promotional material such as the website www.visiteresplendor.com.br videos and flyers were created.

Initiating a process of social dialogue was one of the initiatives of the Government of the State of Pará for the city of Barcarena. The municipality returned to the media in February 2018 due to a transshipment of the company Hydro. The incident put in check the quality of the water in place. Three years earlier, the city was in an accident with the shipwreck of oxen in the port of the city.Thus, to generate effective participation in public policies, the Government hired Dialog. Raízes was invited to take over one of the portfolios of a larger project that included a resettlement plan: dialogue with the traditional communities involved. The intention was to listen to the population in the face of the crisis, but also to initiate a citizen qualification process - action provided for in the new Socioeconomics Law approved in January 2018.The works in the territory included active listening of complaints, denunciations, suggestions and doubts of the population. There were also local qualification meetings and larger meetings with clarifications from the State Government. The objective was to generate participation and mobilize the community, which includes indigenous, quilombolas and riverine people.

Income generation and women empowerment project.In November 2016 Fundação Vale and Raízes Desenvolvimento Sustentável signed a contract aiming to boost the craftwork social business that a group of women from Carmo started. Senhora do Carmo is a rural district located in Itabira (Minas Gerais). Beside the beautiful landscapes of moutains, the prose and the good food, there is also women with great talent for craftwork.The project was based in qualification both for production (craft weaving) and managment of a new social business.

Green Passport is a United Nation initiative to promote a more sustainable production and consumption on tourism. An especial edition of the campaign was prepared for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro's Olympic Games. Raízes took part in this project helping develop strategies to reach the touristic trade and tourists.

CPCD (Popular Center for Culture and Development) has become a reference in non-formal education in Brazil and in the world for over 30 years of work with children and young people development. For youngers older than 16, the NGO proposal is the professionalization through participation in small manufactures, or "factories", as they call it. In these spaces young people have the opportunity to mature as professionals and enterpreneurs. The Dedo de Gente Cooperative , formed by these groups of apprentices, now houses the Handcraft, Cinema and Softwares Factories . Raízes took part in the project for the creation of a new "factory": Tourism. The objective is to train young people to receive visitors who are interested in learning about CPCD technologies and also enjoy the culture of the Jequitinhonha Valley in Minas Gerais.
