Mariana Mier y Terán’s passion for travel and tourism began early, at the age of seven, when she started sailing with her family in Mexico. This spark set her on a journey across countries and roles, each shaping her expertise and network in the industry.Her career took off in Cancún, Mexico, at Royal Resorts, the first flagship 5-star international vacation ownership resort in the area, where she gained invaluable experience and built lasting friendships. After five years, she moved to the UK, where she spent the next 15 years developing her skills across diverse tourism roles. She started with Welcome Holidays Ltd., a cottage holiday company, and then joined Travel Choice in Oxford, a division of the "Big Four" travel company First Choice Holidays, now part of TUI.Later, she moved to York to work at Superbreak Mini Holidays, where she contributed across multiple departments, including Internet Support, Yield Management, and global Hotel Contracting. Her versatility and commitment led her to a role at Inntravel Ltd., where she managed Spain and Portugal Operations—a position that matched her skills and personality. This role introduced her to Inntravel's unique philosophy and further deepened her industry knowledge.Eventually, Mariana returned to Mexico City to work as a commercial consultant with Overlap, a respected Spanish consulting firm. However, her desire to return to Europe brought her back, this time to Barcelona. Here, she has continued her professional growth by studying Social Media and Oenology, and she works as a consultant in the tourism industry, collaborating with several organizations.In addition, Mariana co-founded Winenium.com, an exclusive service promoting Barcelona’s wine regions with high-end, culturally enriched wine tasting experiences. Her passions include family, road cycling, the outdoors, and enjoying Barcelona’s vibrant dining scene.
