Marian has been a social worker in various healthcare settings including an emergency department trauma center, and home care service provider. Her desire to make a difference in peoples lives, combined with her love of animals led her to refocus her life’s work to help people by partnering with horses.In the last few years, Marian has volunteered at a therapeutic riding center teaching horse riding skills to children and adults with disabilities. She became a PATH certified (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) instructor and Equine Specialist and is now on staff. In addition to PATH certification, Marian holds dual certifications from EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) as a Mental Health Professional and equine specialist. She served on EAGALA’s Board of Directors from 2010-2017, and served as the Chair from 2015-2017. Marian now serves on the Board of Directors for In Step With Horses, a non-profit organization providing equine facilitated learning and psychotherapy to individuals, families and groups, as well as corporate leadership and team building work. She has also recently been re-appointed to the EAGALA Board of Directors.Marian currently provides equine facilitated therapy at Fieldstone Farm, In Step With Horses, and Paw Meadows at Tabernacle Stables.
