The Open Link is the only social services organization serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley community. I am proud to be part of the solution in feeding our community through a food pantry, deliveries to seniors, meals on wheels, and the summer kids meals program. We also act as the safety net, helping families stay in their homes through rent and utility assistance, job placement programming and high school equivalency prep and testing. Our senio center provides a noon meal and programming for hundreds of seniors per week. This vital community service fills the gap for so manyin our community.

A Woman's Place is a community-based social change organization committed to the empowerment of women and to ending intimate and domestic violence for all.

In July 2107, I was promoted to CEO of the newly merged Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties to create an organization dedicated to serve those in need of stable housing in two communities. I currently lead this effort to serve more than 1.4 million individuals in two counties by providing affordable homeownership, critical home repairs, financial literacy and neighborhood revitalization in a large suburban area surrounding Philadelphia. 6 months after the merger was complete, Habitat opened its second ReStore location in Horsham. Now, I oversee this complex NPO managing with a 3.2 million dollar budget, 26 employees, 68 mortgages and a pipeline of 20 properties in line for development.

Led non-profit construction company building three to six homes per year in communities throughout Montgomery County. In addition to construction, we manage mortgages for 47 homeowners run a ReStore, a retail surplus and used construction materials store, and we are a human services organization, supporting dozens of people in their quest for homeownership. In this effort, I manage a staff of thirteen as well as hundreds of volunteers per year. In 2014, we've expanded our focus to helping low-income homeowners maintain their homes through critical repairs and home preservations. Finally, we are changing whole neighborhoods through Neighborhood Revitalization - engaging the community, organizations, and others to create a higher quality of life for all who live there through community clean-ups, community activism, and volunteer centered programs.

As the Director of the development team, I worked with Senior Vice President for Development, two grant managers and an annual fund manager and others in the fight to end hunger throughout the Delaware Valley region. During my time as the Development Director, our fundraising efforts went from about 6 million per year to more than 11 million per year, using diverse fundraising methodology to include giving clubs, a robust annual campaign with both digital and mail components, grant writing and significant corporate partnerships. Simultaneously, we ran a capital campaign to begin a non-profit grocery store in an under-served community.

Responsible for raising 1.2 million dollar budget through a diversified annual campaign. I work closely with the board of directors, major donors, corporations and others interested in ending poverty housing throughout Montgomery County, drawing on my past non-profit experience as an executive director, corporate donor specialist, annual fund director, special events planner and volunteer coordinator.

I acted as the right-hand person and door-keeper for the Secretary of State, coordinating a variety of situations within the organization, planning events, and handling phone calls from constiuents. I was also her scheduler, using my experience and organizational skills to maintain her busy calendar, while she simultanously held the position as the Secretary and the President of the Association of Secretaries of State.

Responsible for the financial and programmatic health of the organization. Managed 21 part-time employees. Cultivated relationships with corporations to sponsor events, provide volunteers and create grant opportunities. Managed 19 literacy mentoring program s with 600 volunteers throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Maintained all accounting systems. Interfaced with board members daily. Created and implement all marketing strategies. Interfaced with school personnel for program support and enhancement.

Designed and implemented five large special events and cause-related marketing campaigns per year. Identified and cultivated relationships with Vermont businesses to procure corporate sponsorships. Assisted with public relations and marketing of events including media releases and PSA production. Coordinated and manage pool of approximately 50 individual volunteers and groups daily. Grew Volunteer program from 300 hours per year to 15,000 hours per year. Created annual volunteer celebration recognizing all volunteers and saluting top volunteers in six categories. Designed and maintained the Vermont Foodbank website. Conducted tours of the facility and publicly spoke about the Foodbank several times per month. Participated in goal setting and strategic planning for development team. Designed, produced, tracked, entered, and market tested approximately 100,000 new pieces of new direct mail per year. Designed and produced 45,000 pieces of direct mail targeting loyal donors with an eight to eleven percent return. Managed donor database of approximately 24,000 supporters using Raiser’s Edge version 7.5 software.
