Financial Applications Manager
CurrentManaging the establishment and maintenance of the business requirements of applications owned by Finance, setting the strategic direction for new financial applications, and overseeing team development to ensure quality analytical and tactical finance application support- Assimilating new business segments into the general ledger system and finance framework by integrating disparate business processes across the organization- Liaising between Finance and IT ERP Application development teams for system incidents, system enhancements, defining and assessing service level standards, coordinating system outages and scheduled maintenance, and coordination of business continuity and disaster recovery - Setting the strategic direction for application release lifecycle management via the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) to maintain optimal system health, system continuity, and deliver valuable end-user enhancements- Designing, developing, and implementing the application change management process and end-user reporting tools to maximize functional usage and capabilities while balancing maintainability and optimal system performance- Designing and facilitating a comprehensive training curriculum to ensure optimal ERP technology use- Serving as a technical expert and resource to staff, department, and division by providing research and interpretation of complex technical accounting policy and procedures- Continually delivering process improvement strategies for the completion of new and recurring business requirements- Managing a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback, and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development- Managing budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
