Role-specific Responsibilities● Support an inclusive and communicative culture within the kayak team and between the kayak team and the wider expedition team.● Work with the kayak team and expedition team to ensure paddle operations meet a balance between delivering immersive paddling experiences for participants while not negatively impacting the experience of other, non-paddling guests.● Coordinate with the Lead Kayak Guide to determine suitable locations for paddling activities based on the current weather conditions.● Continually assess and manage risks associated with each paddling activity and notify the Lead Kayak Guide if circumstances require extra care.● Assist to ensure waivers are collected and checked for all participants.● Participate and lead in the Introduction Briefings for each paddling activity asappropriate.● Assist with the pre-excursion safety briefings and issuing of equipment.● Report any defects, short falls in inventory to the Lead Kayak Guide to enable expedientprocurement.● Support Set Up, Pack Down, regular cleaning and maintenance of all the paddlingGeneral Responsibilities● Conduct all operations within the scope of the IAATO Field Operations Manual● Have a deep understanding of Antarctic wildlife, history and climate with stronginterpretation skills ashore and onboard zodiac cruises.● Pro-actively assist with the Citizen Science Programme, on board programming andactivity programmes when required.● Create regular opportunities to share Antarctic knowledge with guests, formally andinformally.● Create regular opportunities to welcome, connect and socialise with guests.● Occasionally lead and/or assist with on board evening programmes like quizzes, games,bar talks or music nights.

Through my passion of Kayak Coaching & Guiding, I set up Dalca Kayak Adventures. Its mission statement is to provide memorable and meaningful nature experiences safely with a positive impact on local communities and the environment. -Founded and successfully established a Kayak Tour Operator company which allowed me to deliver my passion, providing high quality, and bespoke outdoor experiences within Patagonia.- Deliver, plan, manage kayaking tour operations such as daily & multi day kayak trips, and expeditions in Patagonia. - Create, plan, adapt safe kayaking itineraries for non- experienced paddlers in a cold & windy environment following the Nahuel Huapi National Park's wildlife & environment protocols and guidance. - Delivering coaching, leadership and risk assessment lessons in my ACA (American Canoe Association) kayaking courses. -Lead and work cooperatively with other kayak guides & seniors instructors to deliver high quality experiences and courses manteining an excellent work environment with outdoor companies partners.

Mostly guiding 5 day overnight kayak tripa around Lofoten, Norway. Also guiding hikes between the padding. Also guiding some 5 day overnight trekking trips through the old viking trails of Lofoten, Norway. Daily kayak trips as well.
