Marian Moore has completed five years as a Business Education instructor, as well as, three years as a homeschool teacher in Baltimore City and seven years of service for Baltimore County Public Schools system. In 2006, she began her teaching career as a Business Education instructor at George Washington Carver for Arts and Technology in Towson, Maryland. Marian has facilitated a wide range of business courses such as Information Systems Management, Principles of Business, Accounting, Financial Management, Business Internship, and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Marian has advised and mentored Carver Center's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club for six years. Under Marian’s guidance, FBLA members have achieved impressive success in business competitions at the regional, state, and national levels. In February of 2012, Carver Center’s FBLA chapter was titled the Region II Champions and in 2009, the chapter placed 3rd in the state. In June of 2013, eleven FBLA members competed at nationals, which is the highest student academic achievement under her leadership.Marian's background and work experience include competing in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference, experiential marketing for organizations such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as well as, managing a Career and Technology Education (CTE) program. Her vision is to bridge the gap between business and education by seeking mentors, planning career exposure events, and creating business internship opportunities for students. Lastly, forging career opportunities for students and helping them develop professionally are undeniable passions of Marian’s.
