Managed 10+ solutions engineers for Institutional Sales & Trading, Corporate Finance & Services, Firm Risk to drive new Infrastructure cost management programs (virtualization, GRID, storage, consolidation, automation) & engineer for 3rd party applications for Finance dept.>Plant & Capacity Management oversight to reduce operational risk with Technology Lifecycle & Hygiene projects.>Managed critical EOL Sybase platform with creative thinking, delivered ~$5M undercost & 20% ahead of schedule.>Dedicated solutions engineer for the Firm Risk division working with data engineers & production operations teams to help provide solutions to increasing compute & storage demand due to Regulatory Compliance mandates. Migrated 1000+ servers onto the HPC GRID Platform with $5M cost savings & provided faster, more reliable compute & optimized their performance for data modeling. >Managed on-prem HPC GRID hardware & software refresh, drove clients to adopt Platform Symphony, designed & managed Business Continuity Plans (BCP).>Lead a Cloud Cold Storage effort to investigate a better solution for storing 5PB’s of NAS into Public or Private cloud solution which resulted in an on-prem private cloud Hitachi (HCP) Object store.>Managed Data Center migrations (applications/hardware) from legacy into new state-of-the-art Data Centers, drove new technologies & reduced the server/storage footprint.

Technical Lead for Asset Management >Interfaced with the Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) to discuss Desktop Engineering initiatives & deployments. Escalated issues & troubleshooting deployment issues, performed & analyzed workstation traces.>Implemented & supported the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) project to our low to medium risk clients. Tested VPN access to VDI, Market Data & several business applications.>Responsible for testing & implementing Firmwide deployment applications for Investment Management. Entailed testing, piloting & deploying applications via SMS to 3000 workstations (IT Risk security patches, Java updates, & core application updates, VDI proof of concept). Worked with Application Developers to test in-house & 3rd party apps. >Engaged in several projects to migrate off of legacy NT domains, to a strategic Active Directory environment.
