I was part of the team in provincial government charged with the responsibility of coordinating provincial initiatives related to South Africa's hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In particular my role focused on leveraging the mega-event to promote Cape Town and the Western Cape as a business destination and to facilitate access to economic opportunities for local enterprises.

I worked with local and international clients where I carried out sector research and identified opportunities for trade, investment and economic development. I also facilitated introductions for international clients with South African based enterprises.

As a Portfolio Manager in investment promotion my role focused on promoting Cape Town and the Western Cape as a desirable investment destination, profiling specific investment opportunities and working with stakeholders in government and the private sector.

I worked as a general medical practitioner both in the UK and in South Africa.
