As the Secretary of the Mixed Roots Inclusion Group Council, I played a key role in fostering inclusivity and community engagement within CHG Healthcare, impacting over 480 employees who identify as Latinx or Hispanic. My responsibilities included:Administrative Management: Maintained detailed notes of council meetings and organized council members' schedules, ensuring efficient operations.Event Coordination: Planned, coordinated, and hosted monthly meetings and various events, managing logistics and volunteer efforts to ensure successful execution.Communication and Engagement: Sent out monthly newsletters, welcome emails to new hires, and individual shoutout emails to recognize community contributions. I also managed the Teams channel, keeping it updated with the latest events and announcements.Point of Contact: Served as the main liaison for council-related inquiries, providing support and information to community members.Allyship and Inclusion Advocacy: Promoted allyship and fostered a welcoming environment for Latinx and Hispanic employees, ensuring their voices were heard and their contributions recognized.This role allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within CHG Healthcare, while also enhancing my skills in organization, communication, and community engagement.
