Lead/Senior Data Coordinator for COVID-19 vaccine research. Responsible for the quality control of research data generated by the Moderna Phase III mRNA COVID-19 vaccine trial and the Novavax Phase III COVID-19 vaccine trial at the UNC Chapel Hill site. Review research medical records and lab results to ensure data accuracy/completeness and proper protocol implementation. Duties include data entry, data quality control, subject randomization in IRT, subject unblinding for open-label phase procedures, resolution of data queries, source document creation, and review of adverse events with Principal Investigator. Additional responsibilities include serving as the point-of-contact for outside monitoring teams and training other data personnel.

Serve as the Clinical Research Assistant for the Global HIV Prevention and Treatment Clinical Trials Unit, with specific emphasis on assisting research sites in the USA, Malawi, and Vietnam. Assisted with writing a successful $336 million grant application for NIH research funding.Responsibilities included assisting with HPTN, ACTG, and COVID-19 clinical trials. This work included facilitating participant study visits, data entry into electronic health records systems, and data quality control; ensuring regulatory and IRB compliance across clinical research sites; collection and laboratory processing of biological specimens for clinical review; preparing medication and biohazard specimen shipments; clinical research recruitment and pre-screening; and conducting adherence counseling, psychosocial questionnaires, and neurocognitive testing in both English and Spanish. Provided Spanish interpretation for study visits and consent procedures for hospitalized ICU patients as needed.Served as the Communications Coordinator for the Global CTU and participate in conference calls with international research teams and leadership staff.
