In 2023, after a 25 years into a successful career in fintech for big brands such as FactSet Research Systems and Moody’s Analytics and startups such as Aiera and Spatial Risk Systems. I had transitioned from the "voice of the customer"—supporting products for analysts and portfolio managers at large asset management firms and hedge funds—to building B2B fintech data and SaaS products. This included working with traditional and new AI methods, and I loved every minute of it.As my product career progressed, I noticed a distinct trend for startups and scaling companies. They needed to move fast to find and scale their core market. That meant learning along the way to achieve product market fit. I saw teams heading down rabbit holes to chase every revenue opportunity, regardless of ICP fit (think GenAI in our current environment). I knew there must be a better way.So I tapped into my extensive experience and developed a best-practice framework that instills the “voice of the customer” into a company's vision and strategy. It then aligns with business goals and expands into a flexible product roadmap, empowering teams to re-prioritize work and successfully address customer requests and shifting market conditions. I saw a clear trajectory for a bigger impact. So in 2024, I launched Sapient Advisors to help fintech data and SaaS companies develop high quality solutions with a foundation for scalable sustainable success. Now, I have the privilege of partnering with clients to create line-of-sight from vision to action.
