I have been told that I have never met a stranger. I love any type of work that allows me to meet new people and develop those relationships. While ED of Toledo Ballet, I exemplified that through proven management; fundraising; donor relations; communications; marketing and strategy building. The significantly low administrative staff turnover during my ED tenure indicates my strong and fair management skills. In 2019, Toledo Ballet merged with the Toledo Symphony to form Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA), allowing me to work with both entities. Give me any opportunity to write, and I will take it. I wrote virtually every newsletter and promotional piece published about our organization as ED of Toledo Ballet. I have written scores of grants in my current tenure at TAPA, numerous corporate sponsorship proposals, and feature stories for TAPA publications. I have written for a local magazine, Stalwart, a publication highlighting leaders in our BIPOC communities. My columns cover BIPOC leaders in our arts community. I am well aware and proud of the fact that my extensive connections in the community both on a personal level as well as corporate level have greatly benefited TAPA. I thrive best when I am able to initiate, exercise and nurture those connections for the benefit of an organization in which I deeply believe.
