Held regular parent conferences at the school to showcase community agencies in the area and to help parents and caregivers find resources.

Houston, Texas Area

Counseling and support to parents with children who had intellectual and physical impairments. Responsible for providing services to approximately 400 families per year, including in-home visits. Provided instruction on parenting and the skills necessary for obtaining medical support for the disabled. Trained staff on services available in the community for children with disabilities. Interfaced with a staff of 60 social service providers, therapists and child development specialists.
