Starting my career with 10 years at an amusement park sparked my initial addiction to workplace adrenaline. I am blessed with excessive energy and curiosity that have fueled my craving over time. I complete what I start and don’t chase after shiny objects. Unexpectedly, amusement park management coupled with my work as a therapist uniquely prepared me for entrepreneurial leadership. I have learned how to build a company from the ground up. I love crazy challenges and I have chosen early stage companies in early stage markets – a pioneer in the EDI, CRM and location services markets. Every career choice was made with one ultimate criteria: “that sounds like fun!" While all wasn’t fun, I was willing to see each opportunity through the ups and downs. Nonetheless, it has all been successful - two successful IPOs and two successful acquisitions. Each company achieved a strong profitable model before exit. My personality is full of dichotomies – a cynical Pollyanna; funny yet intense; maternal yet masculine. I was once described as being soft about a quarter of an inch thick yet solid steel underneath. A compassionate leader, I strive to guide individuals to find and be their best selves. Averse to sitting still, my continued passion for technology, data collection and analysis, building companies and assisting entrepreneurs has led me to broad ranging consulting. I have been working on some philanthropic efforts focused on digital public health and find myself quite interested in applying my experience in high tech, big data and the creation of companies and markets.
