•Provide support to and work directly with HR Director & Department, Patrons (City residents), supervisors, team leaders, consultants and senior management in various projects, presentations, and any other needed assistance.•Coordinate the new employee recruitment/selection process to include posting of positions, applicant tracking, pre-employment, conditional offers and processing new hire insurance forms.•Coordinate, organize and execute all New Employee Orientation, Supervisor and Citywide training, by securing training session dates, times, and locations; conducting or facilitating training on various topics; and preparing and editing PowerPoint presentations, training materials and course evaluations.•Track and maintain a running monthly log of all FMLA and Catastrophic leave cases throughout the City. •Complete the annual merit/bonus process by calculating employee performance ratings, distributing funds accordingly and notifying employees of their final merit allocation.•Complete all purchase order requisitions and payment vouchers that are submitted for projects or events for the Human Resources and Administration offices. Monitor expenditures and provide regular reports. •Coordinate and manage the annual Insurance Open Enrollment for all City employees by finalizing health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage with broker/agent, obtain, create and distribute literature and forms for all City employees pertaining to their selection options, and coordinating multiple informational meetings by securing locations, dates, times and speakers to accommodate various schedules of shift employees.•Reconcile and process monthly Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term, Short Term and COBRA bills for payment to include audits of the bills to the AS400.•Modify, create, and update HR Department Procedures and Policies.

•Provide leadership and management of volunteer staff and committees as well as administrative oversight of the county program to support the goal of increasing the number of athletes, coaches and family members participating in the year round sports training and competition programs of Special Olympics Seminole County.•Recruit/retain, train, delegate, coach and empower each chairperson of the County Management Team to enable their committee to reach its full potential and achieve the financial and programmatic goals of the County program.•Ensure there are adequate training and competition opportunities in a variety of sports conducted in a safe environment for children and adults with varying skill levels. •Oversee and manage an annual budget of over $80,000.00 comprised of fundraising events, corporate and individual donations, and sponsorships.•Serve as the County Spokesperson and train others to serve as spokespersons for the County program thru print and electronic media, and internal and external communications.
