After studying in details how to make numbers talk through Excel, I found that helping people was the reason I would get up in the morning with a big ol’ smile. I found myself helping people in different industries and departments thanks to my past experiences : retail, customer service and last-mile logistics. I did find myself starting from a blank slate more than once which is an incredibly challenging and fulfilling experience.Within Livraison Vélo Montréal team, I had the opportunity to set up the administrative department and standardize its processes :Recruitment for positions with high turnovers,Formation of new employees regarding the company’s processes and values,Payroll Management.Turned out that managing bike couriers from many different backgrounds was a challenge of its own. Being able to connect with them and accompany them through the ups and down of their daily tasks and their onboarding was the highlight of my day. Happy couriers make happy customers, and this is the standard I strive for everyday.Once the bikes are safely tucked in for the night, I am part of the Committee Sports Entre Voisines, a group that organises free outdoor activities for women during Montreal summer season. I was once a new person in town with a limited social circle and no motivation to work out on my own, I am now happy to help women of all ages form social bonds and exercise in a safe and judgment-free space.
