I am passionate about driving meaningful change for individuals and communities through collaborative partnerships and projects that translate different forms of evidence into practice. As a natural people person and good communicator, I apply curiosity, active listening and cultural competence to quickly establish relationships with colleagues, clients, partners and stakeholders.I have extensive experience in managing impactful public health, mental health and addictions projects in both unionized and non-unionized environments, and providing education, knowledge translation and training to a variety of audiences.I was born and raised in the UK and now live in Toronto, Canada. I am committed to learning about the history of the land on which I live and work. This learning includes the need for truth, reconciliation and supporting the de-colonization of systems and practices that continue to harm indigenous peoples throughout Canada. I am passionate about building accessibility, stigma reduction, and health equity in my work. As someone who identifies as an affected other, I strive to centre the voices of people with lived/living experiences of mental health and addictions.
