Co-FounderYouth Negotiators Academy Jan 2022 - PresentTHE GLOBAL CLIMATE YOUTH NEGOTIATOR PROGRAMME (CYNP) ENABLES AND EMPOWERS THE NEXT GENERATION OF NEGOTIATORS AT THE UN CLIMATE CHANGE NEGOTIATIONS. Our mission is to create a diverse pipeline of effective young negotiators who will co-lead the world’s most important multilateral discussions and successfully deliver positive global outcomes. The CYNP is aimed at redressing the systemic inequality of youth representation in discussions and decision-making by tackling the root causes of this issue and driving system change to ensure long-term meaningful youth participation in decision-making.Our objectives revolve around: - Improve young people’s negotiation and leadership capabilities needed to participate effectively in the UNFCCC negotiations and strengthen the delegation overall, as well as see young people as positive agents of change; and- Deliver systemic change by ensuring youth participation in Party Delegations, therefore delivering a proportional and positive global outcome. In order to achieve the above-mentioned goals, CYNP will pursue four core work streams:- Bridging skill and capability gaps through tailored online and in-person training on UNFCCC processes as well as leadership skills;- Removing funding barriers to participation through travel grants;- Connecting youth negotiators with their peers, creating a community of young changemakers for professional networking purposes as well as positive peer support mechanisms; and- Advocacy with governments to support them in meaningfully integrating youth negotiators into their delegations.👉🏽 more infos: www.youthnegotiators.org -

Youngo Global Focal PointUnfccc Jan 2020 - Dec 2021Bonn, DeYOUNGO IS THE OFFICIAL CHILDREN AND YOUTH CONSTITUENCY OF THE UNITED NATIONS FRAMEWORK CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE (UNFCCC). YOUNGO is a platform and network consisting of children and youth up to 35 years, as well as youth NGOs, striving to empower youth to formally bring our voices to the UNFCCC and demand urgent and unprecedented ambitious climate action. Civil society, everyone who is not representing a government, is represented in the UNFCCC by nine constituencies according to the Agenda 21 Major Groups. Constituencies have a formal voice in the UNFCCC process and can deliver interventions (speeches), submissions (written documents) and attend or convene briefings, expert meetings and press conferences. The two Focal Points are the only two elected positions and serve normally for a one year period with the main purpose to represent YOUNGO at external meetings and liaison. 👉🏽 more infos: https://www.uat.unfccc.int/process-and-meetings/parties-non-party-stakeholders/non-party-stakeholders/information-by-category-of-observer/admitted-ngos#eq-2 -

Research AssistantEth Zürich Feb 2016 - Jul 2016Zürich, Ch«Climate adaptive building solutions based on the autonomous movement of wooden bi-layered structures», scientific assistance at ETH Zurich and EMPA Dübendorf, «Applied Woodscience and Wood Based Materials» with Dr. Chiara Vailati, Dr. Markus Rüggeberg, Prof. Dr. Ingo Burgert. The Wood Materials Science group of Prof. Ingo Burgert is part of the Institute for Building Materials at D-BAUG at ETH Zurich and the Applied Wood Materials Lab at EMPA. Our research focuses on biomimetic and chemical modification of wood and wood based materials. Our goal is to expand the utilization of wood by improving material performance, adding novel functionalities for high-end technical applications and using the responsiveness of wood to humidity changes for new architectural elements. Our research is based on in-depth analysis and characterization of physical and chemical mechanisms at the nano-scale and their effect on performance of macro-scale wood elements. -
Research AssistantEmpa Feb 2016 - Jul 2016Dübendorf, Ch«Climate adaptive building solutions based on the autonomous movement of wooden bi-layered structures», research assistance at ETH Zurich and EMPA Dübendorf, «Applied Woodscience and Wood Based Materials» with Dr. Cellulose & Wood Materials:Our lab aims to understand naturally existing structures in wood based resources and tailor interactions between renewable polymers, nanoparticles and colloids. The major goal of this work is to find energy efficient routes to build high performance materials contributing to a sustainable future. To this end, we collaborate with researchers and industry together addressing important technological challenges. Our approach is to combine existing wood architectures with controlled assembly of extracted wood components into new sustainable high performance materials and value added technological products. One tool of specific interest for tailored biomaterial functionality is the use of fungi or enzymes, as living organisms or biologically active substances to modify the material properties. This biologically inspired functionalization allows us to modify the physical material properties as well as to tailor the bulk and surface towards specific functionality. Part of our developed materials are also demonstrated under real life conditions in the module Vision Wood in Empa's large scale project NEST. -
