As an applied psychologist for children and young people my clinical work involves providing psychological assessments, formulation and interventions. Working for NHS Grampian for the last 4 years, I am passionate about delivering evidence-based psychological interventions, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy. I am an experienced Early Intervention psychology practitioner, providing training and coaching for community-based and third-sector organisations. I enjoy working collaboratively with children, young people, and families, alongside my MDT colleagues to achieve positive outcomes and improve patient well-being.I have a background in the field of organisational psychology in high hazards industries. Working for clients keen to understand the role psychology played in their organisational safety culture and employee performance. Recognising I have a passion for empowering people to evoke change and an avid interest in the complexities of mental health, I went on to complete two Master degrees in clinical psychology. The most recent specialising in child and adolescent psychology. I am looking forward to commencing my clinical doctorate training via the University of Edinburgh in September 2024, which will broaden my experience of clinical populations and complex presentations, whilst utilising a more comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities.
