On joining the police spent 3 years as a uniformed response and neighbourhood Police Officer before moving into an investigative role .The last 5 years of my Policing career was within the Criminal Investigation Department at Croydon. I was responsible for providing a high standard of investigating for serious and complex investigations that occurred within a wide area of South London and Surrey.I was responsible for managing and investigating serious offences including serous assaults, violent disorder, sexual offences, fraud, robbery and drug offences.My role was to gather, verify and assess all possible evidence for an investigation through statement taking, interviewing, forensics and digital data. In the event that a suspect was identified it was my responsibility to ensure all avenues of enquiry were carried out and evidence obtained to bring that person to justice.I was responsible for writing case files for the Crown Prosecution Service and ensuring all evidence was disclosed and presented to court in a professional manner. I was a dedicated mentor for police officers working towards becoming Detectives. I provided training assistance, advice and support in all aspects of Criminal Investigations.
