I have worked in education for the last eight years. I worked as a science teacher for USC's NAI Saturday Program. While I worked there, I was a full time science and math teacher for a private school in Los Angeles. After I worked six years as a teacher, I became a Master Teacher, which allowed me to continue to teach, as well as coaching teachers and improving the academic programming on my campus. After 8 months in that role, I was promoted to Assistant Director, where I am a direct supervisor to teachers. I head the academic programming on my campus and I ensure that our teachers have the tools and the skills they need in order to become the best teachers they can be. In addition, I am currently serving on a board of a non-profit organization, City of Angels Pipe Band, in which our mission is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion while learning Scottish Bagpipes and Drums.
