- Two colleagues and I were successful applicants of an Innovation Grant. Our project involved using digital portfolios to effectively communicate student learning with students and families. Classroom activities, assignments and assessments were posted to each child's profile as they occurred. This allowed for much more meaningful communication between parents, students and the teachers involved. I am looking forward to continuing to use this method of communicating student learning next year. - As well, the same team of teachers were successful applicants for a Biennale Big Ideas In Schools project grant. Together, with a local professional artist, we helped foster innovative and creative thinking through the arts. Our exploration took us out into the community, and brought the community into our classrooms. We were very excited at how this project helped to deepen the learning, teaching, communicating and discussions in our classrooms.- School District New Westminster Curriculum Implementation Day: Planned and delivered an interactive workshop offered to district teachers and administration. Topic: “Infusing Aboriginal Content into daily learning.”- sd40ignite: Wrote and delivered a 5 minute PechaKucha-style presentation on my passion in learning and education at a district sponsored Ignite event
