*Note:* I do not enjoy remote work. I will only seriously consider opportunities with a lively in-person option available in the greater Atlanta area. All other opportunities are likely to be ignored.An extroverted engineer among introverts!I'm generally the most social on the team and love making new friends. I'm usually the one pushing for social events (from scheduled activities to optional hangout time). For that reason, I also vastly prefer working from a physical office. Remote work is just too draining for me to really do for a living. I also love living in Atlanta and am not looking to move. *How I Work*I'm primarily a backend developer! Love building, maintaining, and even migrating the underlying services that power main features. Not a big fan of frontend work outside of admin tooling and I have little experience with mobile work. That said, I do love learning new things and try to branch out from time to time on hackweeks. My professional experience has mostly been with Java and now Kotlin. I also really enjoy using Python for smaller projects and scripts. I've dabbled with many other languages in college and my career but would definitely not label myself proficient in them at the moment. I'm very detail oriented with my work, preferring to double check for edge cases and pull teammate's branches locally for code review. I find having a solid understanding of a system to be very valuable and to unlock accelerated development moving forward. I'm also a huge proponent of documentation! And unlike most people I actually love writing it and sharing knowledge! Improving team docs, runbooks, onboarding guides, and such is one of the biggest things I push for and I enjoy taking charge on such changes. *Personal Hobbies*Massive gamer and geek. I generally split my free time between geeky activities (video games, anime, board games, etc), crafting (woodworking, cosplay), and home improvement (including smart home things!). While I originally got into programming with the goal to make video games, I've definitely grown out of that now and just enjoy playing them. Not much of a developer outside of work. I scratch that itch enough with my day job.
