•Developing and implementing crewing policies and procedures (in line with ILO) which facilitate the selection, interviewing, transportation, engagement and monitoring of over 700 seafarers each season. Managed Louis Crystal, Calypso and Sapphire •Leading in reporting the manning requirements for each of the allocated vessels, as well as the additional crew requirements during peak periods, evaluating respective sources of supply in terms of nationality, rates of pay, and national and international labour agreements.•Communicating with approved Manning Agents worldwide.•Evaluating all applications for employment.•Legal compliance with all pre-employment procedures, especially those relating to medical examinations and basic safety certification (STCW), ensuring all are appropriately implemented to ensure that all requirements and criteria are in compliance with national and international regulations.•Applying for all crewmembers’ visas of entry into various countries and ports, screening of passports and Seaman’s Books, travel arrangements and issuing instructions to various port authorities and immigration, internationally. •Ongoing counseling to seafarers facing work / performance related problems. DEI compliance and effectively managing discrimination cases as well. •Monitor all crew movements including engagements, transfers, and disengagements, and liaizon with the Crew Payroll Officer for pay purposes.•Maintain and update all crew records, including personal data, wages, sick leave, misconducts etc., all crew certification and documentation requirements specified by the STCW 95, ISM and ISO 9002 codes•Reporting all documentation required, (such as Captain’s court report, ship doctor’s medical report, accident reports, bridge log entries etc., in support of crew claims and medical insurance claims), are collected and assessed, in conjunction with legal and other relevant departments.
