I began my career with UCC as a contract employee in 1976 learning about the plant, typing training manuals and standard operating procedures. After that, I was requested to fill other temporary positions in clerical/secretarial duties in various plant departments. I was most proud of this position, as I was apprehensive about my capabilities to fulfill this position. As it turned out I had to learn an "old" system at the same time I was learning a "new" system! During this time I received recognition awards for making a seamless transition from system to system.
