My mission is to teach and inspire small business owners to succeed, and then to leverage that success so we all leave the world a better place than we found it.I worked for many years in the corporate world until I got the golden boot as part of a major downsizing. From a work perspective, this was the best thing that ever happened to me (though I do sometimes miss the paid vacations, the expense accounts, and the Christmas turkeys).Getting laid off revealed that I am by nature an entrepreneur (seriously overused word, but I love practicing my French accent). Since leaving Corporate America, I have launched and operated a variety of businesses. Some did well, some did not. No one died along the way, and all the ventures taught me valuable skills and instructive lessons. Along with my husband (though sometimes on my own), I have started a real estate business, a restaurant and inn, a newspaper, a home meal delivery service, and a computer tutoring service.Now, I have come full circle and use my knowledge, skills, and experience to help other small businesses succeed by implementing the systems and tools they need.My personal mantra: Get up, work hard, play hard, be kind, rest, repeat.
