I have significant experience at senior level, working within creative agencies and publishing houses across London and the South West. My skillset is broad, having worked across varied platforms, specialising in print design. My knowledge, ability to think conceptually, work to pace, and stay bang on trend, enable me to create brands and develop and grow existing ones.

Held the Senior Designer position at Be Curious, a highly successful creative agency in the hub of Kingston Upon Thames. I worked with a small team designing and developing branding across an enviable client list of national companies, to include LloydsPharmacy, Travis Perkins, Marine Stewardship Council, Forest Holidays, Vital Ingredient and John Bell & Croydon.

F&W Media (formerly David And Charles), is the leading book publishers in the South West for non-fiction. I worked across a wide range of titles, mostly high-end 'coffee table style' books - in a variety of genres mainly within the photography and craft sector. I worked closely with the authors from the start of the process of concept and planning, to design, layout and then full artworking. My role also consisted of managing and overseeing the work of a team of middleweight designers.

Primarily magazine design in the overseas and UK property and lifestyle sector. I established re-designs of existing titles that needed to be rebranded and relaunched, with a fresh on-trend look, to create more reader engagement, sales and revenue. 'Viva Espana Magazine' was a new launch that concentrated on the Spanish property market, I was directly involved with this project from end-to-end, and it achieved the shortlist of top 6, in the National Magazine Design Awards in its first year. Other projects included exhibition design and marketing.

I was brought in to assist the Art Editor on the launch of 'Playstation World Magazine', a monthly videogames title, aimed towards an older demographic. We established the identity and branding of the magazine and it quickly became a rival for the market leader. I continued as the key designer in PSW’s evolvement and it became firmly established and highly successful by the time I left the company for pastures new.

Worked my way up from a junior to senior level working across varied magazine titles. This role was layout based and was invaluable in bringing me up to speed on all mac software and a good grounding for my future employment.
