I have over 15 years’ experience of conducting research and evaluation within themuseum and science communication field having worked at the Science Museum and theNatural History Museum. This has involved conducting: front-end, formative andsummative evaluation of a range of different aspects of the visitor offer, includingtemporary exhibitions, permanent galleries, events, artwork, interactive exhibits, AR, VRand MR, as well as school and learning programmes.I am passionate about furthering the field of visitor studies having served as the firstelected Chair of the Research and Evaluation (REV) thematic group at ECSITE (theEuropean Network of Science Centres and Museums) and sat on the VSG committee.I have recently completed a professional doctorate at King’s College, London, investigatingmuseum practitioners’ understanding of research and evaluation, professionalization ofvisitor studies and how to increase evaluation utilisation in organisations.
