As a climate security researcher I am working on establishing a research group in the field of climate security. How does climate change threaten global security, and how can we make society more resilient to climate change? And what role should the military play in this? After all, the primary task of the military is to protect and safeguard the security of Dutch and allied territories, which is also threatened by climate change. Think of risks like increasing droughts, water shortages, water surpluses, wildfires, resource scarcity, the security of energy infrastructure, and geoengineering. And it doesn't stop at research, because the goal is by doing as much as possible. For example, by experimenting in the field, collaborating with units, working with other organizations, and testing innovations, and leading student reasearches.

As Reserve-Officer (Reserve Officier), I work for the Ministery of Defense and simultaneously participate in the educational program to become an Officer. I participated in:- A research project regarding sustainability for the Dutch Air Force- Development of nautical charts for the hydrography department of the Royal Dutch Navy- High level leadership trainings, a.o. in the Alpine mountains- Photography and graphic design tasks for Defensity College- Research on Climate Security

The Community of Energy Top Talents (CETT) is a network of master students and energy companies who intensively strive together towards the energy transition. As a student I am ambassador of the energy sector. In addition I am in the CETT board and it is my task to organise projects, workshops and excursions in cooperation with energy companies such as Nuon, Engie and Stedin.

Digitalizing soil data mainly gathered in the Netherlands for different principals, such as Deltares and the University of Utrecht.

Leading a digitalization project at the Physical Geography department, in which existing data of the Dutch soil are analysed and digitalised. Coordinating the project and managing students by giving them tasks and helping them on their way.

Assisting and coaching students with (mathematical) problems, providing guidance with regards to theories discussed and discuss potential course improvements in the course: ‘Linear Algebra and Vector Analysis’ (BsC 2).

Together with seven other board members, the Faculty Council of Geosciences represents all students currently enrolled in GeoSciences study programmes. The council is authorised to consult with the decan about all faculty related matters and has the right of consent in a multitude of important cases such as the implementation/revision of faculty, education and examination regulations.

Doing an internship at the Royal Burgers' Zoo was an amazing experience. I mainly designed guided tours in the field of evolution for students and gave lectures about evolution theories to experienced guides and trained them to lead these guided tours.

Tasks including:- Being responsible and managing the finances of EGEA Utrecht- Promoting the association, her events, and designing promotion material such as posters and flyers- Making international and Erasmus students feel comfortable and organising events to bring them in contact with other exchange students and bringing them in touch with the Dutch culture.

Baking fresh artisan bread, giving clients advice about bread and other cereal products and trying to make clients aware of the variety of tastes of different breads and the process from cereal to bread.

Organizing the first Honours Programme study trip at Utrecht University. It was a 7-day-Honours excursion to Istanbul, for 35 Honours students and 2 teachers, with the main goal of extending ones mind and building an internal Honours community, with external reach. Included were several business visits, university visits, mutual lectures and mind-extending tasks.

Being responsible for training and coaching a group of motivated children to efficiently improve their technical skills, condition and team building. As children sometimes are difficult in behaviour, it is important to be creative and innovative in the approach during training sessions.

Giving additional individual sessions for the subjects Latin and Greek to improve the skills of students of understanding the language and grammar, with the purpose to understand the classical Latin and Greek languages.
