Travel Speech Language Pathologist
Current• Treating clients ages 40 - 100+ years old with Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysphagia, Dementia, Dysarthria, Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders, cognitive-communication deficits, and vocal pathologies in a sub-acute and long term setting at Montecito Heights Health and Wellness Center• Maintaining a minimum of 85% productivity, daily; documented direct interventions and patient responsiveness to interventions as Point of Care (POC) service using the computerized system: RehabOptima.• Administering Boston Naming Test (BNT), Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination- Third Edition (BDAE-3), Ross Information Processing Assessment- Geriatric- 2 (RIPA-G:2), Reading Comprehension Battery for Aphasia (RCBA), SLUMS, MOCA, quality of life scales, questionnaires, behavioral observations, oral motor mechanism exams, and bed-side swallow evaluations to further assess cognitive-linguistic and swallowing function and to develop treatment goals and patient-driven, team based approaches. • Applying varied cueing hierarchy for therapeutic tasks related to cognitive-communication: recall/orientation, memory, reasoning/problem solving, speech intelligibility, pragmatics, orientation, memory, perceptual abilities, psychosocial expression, functional communication, and oral motor skills; and related to swallowing disorders/dysphagia with use of diet, behavioral and environmental modification plans, and intensive patient/caregiver education.• Traveling to Highland Park Skilled Health and Wellness Center and Country Villa Los Feliz Nursing Center to assist with caseload when census allows
