I am in charge of R&D projects dedicated to the development of innovative bio-products for a wide range of applications including cosmetics, lubricants, resins, additives for plastics, … European Oil-Products Development Centre (CEDOP) offers expert services ranging from lab scale projects to semi-industrial scale production to all manufacturers, distributors and players involved in the fats and oils industry.CEDOP platform is based on the idea that Research and Development in the field of lipochemistry can be made to integrate industrial constraints from the early experimental stage of a project (optimized industrial processes, economic considerations, environmental impact).

During my internship, I joined the 4D LABS. This group focuses on accelerating the Design, Development, Demonstration and Delivery of advanced materials and nanoscales devices. I especially worked in Pr. Neil Branda’s group, which is specialized in molecular switching, molecular recognition and supramolecular chemistry. During these three months my project has consisted in synthesizing a molecule which could be used as a tyrphostin.
