- Setting the overall strategic direction of the company alongside the board- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, managing work assignments and their implementation for all employees - Finding new stockists and coordinating with existing stockists, B2B sales, B2C sales for direct feedback of the product- Negotiating terms and building relationships with buyers, contacting new sales leads- Building relationships with new and existing clients and partners- Leading company expansion to new markets in Europe and the US- Hiring new staff; supervising, guiding and delegating employees in their duties- Acting as production manager, including setting prices for the product, costing the product, buying all materials and fabric, coordinating with factories and other partners- Compiling all necessary documentation for the business including contracts with partners and employees- Compiling marketing strategy with the team and managing all website improvements- Looking for new opportunities to increase cost-efficiency and speed up working processes, implementing them across the business- Assessing, managing and resolving problematic situations to ensure company survival and growth

Working closely with Pattern Cutters, Garment Technologists, Product Developers and the Design Team.

Supporting the design and product development team in preparation for the SS12 and AW12 show.

Assisting the assistant designer on daily tasks towards the development of the Preen show collection SS12 and Preen line SS12, this involved print matching and embroidery, as well as:- conducting fabric books- sampling including draping- developing and creating three-dimensional trials and swatches including fabric manipulations, embroidery, color dyeing. - grading and amending patterns- creating layout plans for production- technical drawings by hand and digital specification drawings

Regular duties included conducting weekly and monthly reports of PR performance and achieved coverage, trend reports for clients, visual merchandising in the showroom, communication with press: introducing new product to press via email/phone daily and in person on press days, organisation of guerilla stunts/projects and marketing activities for clients. Worked on the following accounts: Acne, A-Wear, Clarks, Comptoir Des Cotonniers, Havaianas, Matalan, Radley, Republic, The Smiley Company, Swarowski and Tula.
