I wanted to go beyond Legal. So I decided to start a new adventure and got the opportunity to go ‘back’ to the ACM. No legal position and no competition law this time. A new job as ‘trusted advisor’ of a management team dedicated to protect consumer interests. It has been 2,5 months now and it feels like I am flying again!****I started working at the Dutch Competition Authority in 2004. (European) competition law has always had my interest and I had the opportunity to specialise since the day I started working. I enjoyed working as a government offical and as a lawyer. In 2014 I started working as a legal counsel for Heineken. It turned out that me being a legal counsel within this great company was a perfect match. Being a legal counsel is so much more than just advising on legal matters. If you do it right you will get to know the company from top to bottem and you will be able to connect it all. I love it.In 2020 I had the opportunity to get to know a new company, new markets and new (legal) challenges. I have expanded my knowledge on privacy, labeling and so much more.
