Involved in strategic marketing, brand development,communications, PR, media management, strategic sponsorship etc. for Sub Saharan Africa.Markets served ranged from Automotive, off-highway equipment, Mining, Cement, Industrial & Compressed Air industries.During my time at Donaldson we have implemented several marketing initiatives to promote the Donaldson brand in Africa. I have worked closely with my counterparts internationally - including USA, Europe, Australasia, Mexico, China etc. to enhance the brand value across all entities. Projects included re-branding of boxes for export, web developments, brochure & literature design, corporate identity changes & implementation.I was responsible for Distributor branding, advertising etc. and all initiatives including organising Distributor Conferences, customer days etc.I was responsible for staff induction training as well as some other training initiatives in conjunction with IT, management etc. I initiated a sponsorship for the company to maximise brand exposure with firstly Nissan SA and then the National Offroad Association as the prologue sponsor. This initiative has expanded and led to Donaldson South Africa now being the official sponsor of the Donaldson Championship and has added tremendous value to the brand.
