I spent my career in higher ed, which has many unique benefits like intellectual stimulation, access to campus resources, and job stability. It also has unique challenges like resource constraints, slow pace of change, and bogged down bureaucratic processes (due in part to the shared governance model).Late in 2022 I stopped working at “the Institute,” but with deep roots in that world, I launched my firm and started working with colleges and universities as a leadership and culture strategist.
