My name is Mariia Berdnyk. I am 21 years old and I am from Kharkiv, Ukraine. However, I live in Sophia-Antipolis, France now. I know 5 languages. I am a Ukrainian and Russian native speaker, fluent in English, medium in German and French. I finished Kharkiv specialized English Gymnasium №156. After that I combined my technical education with English improvement at Greenforest British school. Now, I'm a 4th year Computer science student at Polytech Nice Sophia. However, for the first 2 years I studied Software Engineering at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. It was there where I have started my path as an engineer. It was there where I felt in love with computer science, software development and coding. The lab work at university wasn't enough for me. In December 2021, a few my groupmates and I decided to make our own startup. It was a blockchain called “Golden Peach”, which main goal was to provide users with a convenient service for cryptocurrency buyings and sellings. This led us to our first interview with the Ukrainian company NIX Solutions. Alas, our project was not accepted, however, this experience inspired me. And so in January 2022 I started an internship at a big international Ukrainian company Softserve, as a C# backend developer. Unfortunately, because of the war I was forced to move to France and commence an internship at IBM France lab, as a Java backend developer. I completed it in August 2022. And right after that I continued my studies as a Java and React Fullstack developer together with polytechnique on an apprentissage program.I am trying to progress as an engineer in many fields. However, for now, I have an in-depth knowledge in:- C# and related technologies: .NET Core, .NET framework, ASP .NET- Java, and Java Spring, Jakarta Service Pages, Jakarta Web Services, Maven- Java Script, and REACT, TypeScript, Carbon- SQL, and MySQL, Oracle, Entity Framework.I know the basics:- C/C++- HTML/CSS.- Python, and Pandas development library.Thanks to an internship at SoftServe, I am very confident in REST methodology, designer patterns and code refactoring. I'm also familiar with SOLID principles and "Clean Code" concepts.On top of that, I'm a very quick and easy learner. In particular, I learned Java in a week when I started my internship at IBM. I'm hardworking and punctual. I like to work in a well-coordinated team, and coworkers usually like working with me because of my enthusiasm for the field. I love to challenge myself, and I always try to take actions, which leads to impressive results.
